OpenCrowd — Editions & Licensing¶

OpenCrowd is an open-core Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platform designed to centralize identity management, access provisioning and governance across connected applications.

OpenCrowd is available in two editions: Community and Enterprise.

Community Edition¶

Licensing Model — Identities Under Governance¶

OpenCrowd Enterprise licensing is based on Identities Under Governance (IUG) rather than traditional per-user-seat licensing.

An Identity Under Governance is a unique identity whose access is actively managed or governed by OpenCrowd across connected applications.

Deployment and Licensing¶

Both editions are designed to support self-hosted deployment.

Community¶

Community can be deployed using the supported installation packages and deployment procedures for the applicable release.

Enterprise¶

Enterprise requires a valid commercial license to activate and use Enterprise-licensed capabilities.

License activation, updates, renewals and entitlement management follow the procedures applicable to the installed OpenCrowd release.

Organizations can begin with Community and transition to Enterprise using the supported upgrade procedure.

OpenCrowd supports identity management and governance across connected applications, including integrations through supported REST APIs, SCIM 2.0 and directory services.
