Release Notes¶
Public product and documentation updates are recorded here, newest first.
Unreleased¶
Added¶
- Reliable provisioning with honest status — when you grant access, OpenCrowd actually applies it in the connected application (OpenProject, xWiki, Nextcloud) and shows a real status for every grant: Provisioned, Pending invite, or Failed with the reason. Failures are surfaced clearly instead of being silently treated as success.
- App-aware access requests — the access request form now lists your connected applications, lets you choose the specific OpenProject project or xWiki space you need, and shows a plain-English preview of exactly what you're requesting.
- Rich sidebar navigation — hovering a menu item now explains what that section does, with clear badges on features that require a Enterprise edition.
- My Account — a redesigned profile experience, available both on its own page and inside Settings, that explains your role in plain English and links to your account console for password and two-factor setup.
- Access Profiles — access profiles are now stored on the server with proper permission checks.
Changed¶
- Warmer dashboard — a personalized greeting with a one-line summary of what needs your attention, clickable stat cards, clearer emphasis on the Governance Score, and friendlier first-run states.
Fixed¶
- The request forms now reliably show your connected applications.
- Approving an OpenProject request now grants access in the requested project with the right role, not just an account.
- New users are provisioned to Nextcloud reliably, with a strong initial password generated automatically.
- Auto-created users get a clean username, fixing xWiki provisioning and preventing duplicate accounts.
- Multi-step approvals enforce the required role at each step, and admins can choose the default approval workflow.
0.1.0¶
- Initial OpenCrowd release: identity and access governance across connected applications (xWiki, OpenProject, Nextcloud), access matrix, requests and approvals, groups, audit, reports, and the Kai assistant.
Documentation¶
- Added the initial Zensical documentation site.
- Separated the published
docs-public/tree from the repository's mixed-sensitivitydocs/folder. - Added structured Getting Started, User Guide, Organization Guide, Reference, FAQ, and Release Notes navigation.
